Jim Jordan CRUSHED By Latest Supreme Court Ruling

Описание к видео Jim Jordan CRUSHED By Latest Supreme Court Ruling

The Supreme Court issued a decision this week that struck down state lawsuits against the Biden Administration for allegedly censoring social media posts (which never actually happened.) This particular issue was the subject of multiple Congressional hearings led by Jim Jordan, and the ruling absolutely obliterates Jordan's talking points and crusade about the administration allegedly trying to censor American citizens. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains what happened.

For several years now. We have heard Republicans all across the United States tell us that the Biden administration has of course, been meddling with social media companies and forcing them to censor the voices of Americans who do not agree with the Biden administration. Hell, Jim Jordan himself as the House Judiciary Committee chairman, has held hearings, right? Those Twitter files hearings that we had, oh, we're gonna blow this wide open and show the country just how corrupt the Biden administration is and how much they hate freedom of speech. And then of course, this week, the United States Supreme Court came along to crush Jim Jordan's hopes and dreams. In a six to three ruling this week, the United States Supreme Court dismissed lawsuits brought by several right-wing states against the Biden administration. And these states had alleged in their lawsuit that by the Biden administration censoring social media, you know, the states were injured and conservative.

Supreme Court Justice, Amy Coney Barrett writing for the majority said, Uhuh, no, you, you haven't shown an injury. Um, you, you haven't even backed up Your point. And most important of all, you don't even have standing to bring this lawsuit, is what she essentially said in the ruling. I mean, those are the things she said. I'm rewording them a little bit to make it easier to palate getting rid of all the legalese. But yeah, that notion that this Biden administration has interfered with social media companies or has ordered them to censor people on social media is a complete and total fabrication according to the United States Supreme Court. That, again, has a conservative majority and nobody is hurt more about that than Jim Jordan himself. Right. You did all those hearings, you brought in Matt Taibbi, you brought in all these other people, right? You've got these journalists, you got these, the people from Twitter, a couple of 'em like, oh boy, look at all this.

And they all could not prove that the Biden administration ordered social media companies to censor stuff. Yeah. Did the Biden administration during a pandemic ask if they would be willing to remove misinformation? Yeah, they did. Asking somebody to remove something is a hell of a lot different than ordering them to do it. And I don't think these idiots understood that there's a difference between the don't, no, they're one and the same. No, they're not. Any moron with half a brain cell could tell you those aren't the same things. Democratic representative Jerry Nadler decided to rub a little salt on Jim Jordan's wounds this week following the ruling. And Nadler came out and said this, as expected, the Supreme Court has issued a stinging rebuke to Jim Jordan and his multimillion dollar conspiracy theory fueled witch hunt.

The court concluded that the social media platforms exercised their own judgment with regards to content moderation, which is precisely what we have heard from the dozens of witnesses that Jim Jordan has dragged before this committee. The court also pointed out that the basis for the House Republicans partisan reign of harassment against social media companies was inaccurate and outright false. I hope that after this humiliating defeat, chairman Jordan and his colleagues will end their failed investigation into the companies, universities, and individuals who have been trying to stop the spread of harmful misinformation and disinformation on social media. He's not gonna stop, Jim Jordan's not gonna stop.
