Somalia is taking a small step towards a kind of democracy this Wednesday in choosing its president. Former Prime Minister Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo won the presidential vote after the incumbent, Hassan Sheikh Mohammed, admitted defeat. This is clearly a big moment for a country usually referred to by the media and diplomats as a "failed state". Can Farmajo bring peace and prosperity to Somalia?
