Synopsis:
Kachi, a determined research student, along with her friends Nani and Kabali, attempts a
paranormal experiment using an Ouija board. As they summon a spirit, a one-rupee coin on the
board moves toward Kachi, and an unknown force possesses her momentarily. A book titled Aara
mysteriously falls onto the board. Just as the book appears, a breaking news alert reveals that the
trio has inadvertently solved a five-year-old unsolved case, thanks to the guidance of their
professor, Suryaprakash.
Seeking answers, the students approach Professor Suryaprakash, who initially dismisses them.
However, upon hearing the name Aara, his demeanor changes, and he reveals a painful story from
the past. The narrative shifts to Vikram, a hardworking insurance agent who has a peculiar habit
every Amavasya (new moon night), he checks into a secluded resort.
Before one such night, Vikram unknowingly saves a girl from a fatal accident. Later at the resort, he
encounters a ghostly child who brings both warmth and unsettling experiences. When he asks her
to reveal her face, he is horrified to realize that she is his own daughter. The film plunges into
Vikram’s tragic past his deep-seated desire for a son, his resentment towards his daughter, and the
cruel incident where he orchestrated her accidental death. Overcome with remorse, Vikram spirals
into depression.
In the present, the ghostly child tells Vikram that he too has died struck by a car while saving the
girl earlier that day. As realization dawns, Vikram is left in shock.
Back in the present, Suryaprakash hands over the Aara book to Kachi, Nani, and Kabali before
mysteriously disappearing. As the students examine the book under torchlight, they discover an
