Using a Broken Cant Hook to Roll Logs

Описание к видео Using a Broken Cant Hook to Roll Logs

Using a broken cant hook to roll logs isn't the greatest idea I've ever had but when times are tough, the "fix it and forget it" mentality takes over. In this case however, the fix it part of that phrase isn't really holding true. After many gear clamps, some construction adhesive and now wood glue, I"m back out at my sawmill making decking boards and hoping my cant hook survives. I'm working away at a never-ending log pile that I'm accumulating still from the tornado that passed through my area a few months ago. Despite the misfortune back in June, the growth of the log pile is a good problem to have. I'm making a new sawmill shed real soon and am working away at stockpiling lumber to build it. Another nice big spruce tree is on the cutting block today as I try wrangle the tree into position using my cant hook that should have been retired about 2 years ago haha. Despite the flexing and cracking that can be heard coming from the cant hook, my fingers crossed pays off as I make it through another day of milling wood without my cant hook snapping. Or am I speaking too soon? Regardless, it's a beautiful "almost fall" day out here at the Hillbilly hide-out and I'm glad you're all along. Thanks for watching and here we go!
