We drive along Roosevelt Avenue and then along Rambla Lorenzo Batlle Pacheco right to where the Peninsula starts. The beach besides the Rambla is called Brava beach, because the sea here usually has waves and currents. As you can see, Maldonado and Punta del Este are very close cities and there is really no noticeable borders between them. The city of Punta del Este and its beaches are famous in South America. This is one of the best places you can find in Latin America for a summer vacation! No doubt it is a top destination.
