After switching on your PC, Laptop, or Netbook, watch carefully for a brief message to learn which keyboard key to press in order to activate the BIOS. This message will disappear QUICKLY, so you will need to be ready to move fast! After that, you will use your keyboard's arrow, enter, and other keys to navigate menus. Use those menus to optimize your computer's boot-up process and to guide it to find the operating system of your choice from your internal hard disk drive, from a bootable CD, DVD, or flash memory device, etc. If you want to install LINUX or upgrade or re-install Windows, you will need to work through this process. In this video clip, I show how I do it on a typical PC, using one of several popular, similar BIOS versions.
