'Misty' - new version - Jazz piano tutorial. This video has been one of my most popular youtube videos with 637,000 hits! It was done around 6 years ago and the quality of videos can now be much better on youtube.
I decided to add a first chorus with just solo piano before the 'trio' began. I have also re-transcribed the piano part, as I can now be more accurate than I was when transcribing earlier videos. Please realise that the transcriptions are reasonably accurate , though the software I use does not allow more than one voice per clef! Also, when transcribing freely played or rubato passages, the notation is something of a compromise. My aim, however, is to provide musical ideas for other pianists. In these videos, I am playing just from a leadsheet with melody and basic chords. The notation came after the video using midi software.
