Cockpit View - Approach and Landing at Bequia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines -- Cessna Skylane

Описание к видео Cockpit View - Approach and Landing at Bequia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines -- Cessna Skylane

After flying from Maurice Bishop International Airport (TGPY), Grenada, West Indies, an approach was made at J.F. Mitchell Airport (TVSB), Bequia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Because of mechanical turbulence generated by the island, the approach was made at a high airspeed (70 KIAS) without flaps in a STOL-modified Cessna 182. Winds improved at low altitude, and flaps were extended on short final. Flaps were fully extended (40 degrees) over the threshold, and touchdown occurred at about 35 KIAS. The video features the amazing landscape as it appeared before the eruption of La Soufriere volcano on the neighboring island of St. Vincent (2021) the strike of Hurricane Beryl on the Grenadines (2024).
