1959 Ford Thunderbird J code 430 MEL

My 1959 430 Thunderbird restoration over the course of a year and three months condensed into 4:20!

I bought this car in pieces some of which were missing. The 430 block had been prepped an engine rebuild kit was with the car. The motor did need assembly.

I performed all the work on the car with some assistance from my awesome son Matt 🤠.

The only and I mean only thing that i let a shop do was mount and balance the new tires I bought for the car .

Im not a restorer just a Gen X guy who has pretty much always had an old car or truck I was working on .

I restored this car to drive . Is it perfect? Heck no!!

I’m not the guy to do a show car restoration anyway.

If you are yearning to see a concourse restored 59’ J code, move on this isn’t it.
Nor is this your car. 🤠

This one I plan to keep to the bitter end.
