Couching on Handi Quilter longarm machines with chenille, wool, yarn or lame.

Have you ever tried couching on your longarm? If you have a Handi Quilter you have the option of buying couching feet. They are standard feet with a plastic insert that has a hole in 3 different widths to accommodate different sizes of yarn or couching wool.

If you haven't tried it you probably don't realise how much fun it can be. In this short video we show how to stop and start the couching and some of the options that you have for using it including using Pro-Stitcher computerised quilting!

You can buy couching feet in the UK from www.handiquilter.co.uk

The yarn used in this demonstration was Bertinet Blanket. It's quite thick so we used the widest couching foot in the set. We've also used metallic lame successfully.

Have fun and experiment with textures on your next quilting project!
