The client had missed a job interview for a job she really wanted due to challenges with childcare and lack of confidence. Mary Beth Abella, MI Trainer, is helping the client renew her determination, build confidence, and make a plan for finding a job.

See if you can identify when the client is making change talk or sustain statements or both and how the counselor responds to each.
