Hi there and welcome! 😊 In this video, we will explain to you what is external CSS.

With external CSS we can define CSS styles in separate file (this file is text file with extension .css) and that file can be linked to any HTML file, so all CSS styles from that external CSS file become available to use in that HTML file that has been linked to external CSS file.

To link external CSS file you need to define link HTML tag inside head element in your HTML document with two HTML attributes.
First one is type attribute where we need to point that type of document that we want to link is text/css, and second attribute is href where we need to set location/name of the external CSS file that we want to link.
Example of link HTML tag looks like this
➡️ link type="text/css" href="location/file_name.css"

Once when we link our HTML document with external CSS file, all styles from that external CSS can be used in that HTML document.
