Expressive Solid State Amp Hack? Getting more with power supply SAG

Описание к видео Expressive Solid State Amp Hack? Getting more with power supply SAG

PLEASE READ!! This is a Hack: don't risk safety or pricey gear unless you know what you're doing.
My HoneyTone power input polarity is atypical; newer ones may be the same or differ.
No, I don't use the Overdrive in this demo. To me 'always-on' distortion is not as expressive as power supply (p.s.) SAG distortion. SAG is indicated by the LED as 'inverse VU meter'.
With p.s. SAG the Danelectro sounds nice directly into my 16 ohm large speaker. The hack (10 ohm load) should not stress the amp.
Hack outputs unbalanced at 2-3 kohm over most of adjustment range and is meant to drive 50 kohm (at least 10k). Could drive a "direct box" for balanced line output.
With no cap, I measured 3 mV dc at output - but a mylar capacitor is a good idea!
Recorder was battery powered to keep ground loop (hum) negligible.
No SAG using headphone jack (not enough amp loading).
Won't SAG with fresh battery or regulated supply. [Maybe try an auto dome or turn signal lamp in series??]
Could replace 10 ohm with reactive load [~ 8 ohm speaker with cone cut out?]
