Fiberglass Y-stern Repair: Fiberglass Ribs

In this video we add the foam ribs on the inside of the hull. This is an easy way to strengthen old damaged fiberglass canoes by adding 1708 biaxial fiberglass and 6 ounce fiberglass to the hull. A full layer of fiberglass is added over top of the ribs to tie the ribs to the gunwale. West System Epoxy is used over the foam. Polyester (fiberglass resin) will dissolve foam.
