FTX Outback Gladius, another flawed RTR & How to fix it!

As some of you know I have referred to the FTX Outback Gladius as a pound shop TRX4 ya know, it's like if you ordered a TRX4 clone from WISH? but maybe that is a bit unfair...
I mean I like the body (despite not having clear windows and other scale features) the truck's overall performance in RTR (Ready To Replace) configuration is not bad. My initial thoughts were that this truck is a great place to start off if you are new to RC Crawling. I normally re-review an RC after it's been with me for 6 months but the Gladius was not going to get there. In fact, the Gladius has almost gone and what remains is a shadow of the original rig.
If you look through the forums you will see that many of the Gladius owners have broken their axles and in one of my recent tear downs I found a very bent axle shaft.
The electronics are woeful although the motor seemed ok and the radio gear is not the worst I have changed the Motor, ESC, Servo, and Shocks, all the locking diff set has gone and I am now running Traxxas spool lockers in the diffs.
