before i get into this song, just wanted to update a few things! i have 3 requested songs that will be uploaded soon (1:05 and bollywood by the black skirts, and alcohol by graphy). they’re all translated and i’m just double checking grammar and such before i make the video! i also have 3 videos finished (fling; fig from france and the music in her by the black skirts and land of night by jannabi) that i’m just sitting on! hopefully they’ll all be posted by november before school gets hectic:)

as for LIKE A SEA! this is a song that has brought me soooo much healing and calmness, from the reassuring lyrics to the soft sea sounds in the background, it’s so so so beautiful. i think that in times like this where it seems like the entire world is going up in flames, whether it be from corrupt systems or global warming or covid or personal problems, people really need to try to step away from everything for a few minutes and try to allow themselves to forget about things even though it’s hard!

i wanted to keep this as a song only i knew, as my own little escape that i could listen to when i had a bad day while staring out a window, but i saw quite recently an idol i really like posted the lyrics to this song after going through his own set of hardships and i saw how much people were touched and felt healed from seeing that so i thought i’d share this! i translated it more than a year ago, so i’m very TRULY sorry if there are any errors! i also noticed i translated it in a very literal sense so if there are other translations with a more flowery interpretation, i think it’d do the song more justice!
