Quite a long amateur cine film of over 20 minutes but worth watching to the end. If you climbed Crook Peak near Weston-super-Mare in 1972 and looked out all you would see was Somerset countryside and minor roads. Then came the M5! This film starts with lovely country views and then shows the building of the motorway.There is also some fascinating footage of the uncovering of the Roman settlement at Christon and the archeological dig and excavation of the ancient graves. This is another film from the collection of the late Mr Gordon Pratt.
