SDN's Navarathri Series 2020

Surrendering to the Universal Mother by celebrating Navarathri - the festival of colours, artistry and multiplicity. SDN is happy to share some compositions of Devi in her various manifestations. These videos, which are recordings from our stage performances, will be published on Fridays and concludes with a Keertanam on Saraswathi on Saraswathi Pooja and the group presentation of a Varnam on Tripurasundari, on the day of Vijayadashami.

04 Saraswathi Stuthi "Sangeetha Samrajya Sancharini"

She is the one where revels in the realm of music and dwells in the beautiful Sringeri.

She, who resides in the abode of the valorous Pandyas and Kerala, is the one seated in the middle of Sri Chakra. She, who dwells in the heart of Adi Sankara (of Kāladi), is the one who is in the thoughts of the Dikpālakas (guardian deities of directions) and Lord Brahma.

She takes the form of the seven musical notes like - Gāndhāra, Panchama, Dhaivata, Nishāda, Madhyama. Adorned with Mandhāra flowers and precious gems, She resides in the form of Mohana Kalyani - endearing auspiciousness.

Saraswathi Stuthi, in Mohana Kalyani Ragam and Adi Talam; composed by Sri Ramamurthy Rao.

This song is preceded by Saraswathi Slokam, surrendering to the Goddess who shines brightly with a white hue; holds the Veena and the boon-giving staff in Her hands; is seated on the white lotus and is worshipped by Brahma, Vishnu and other celestials. To Her, we offer our prayers, who is the annihilator of the veil of darkness.
