Supreme Court of Pakistan on Thursday expunged several controversial passages from its previous verdict in the Mubarak Sani bail case, accepting the federal government's plea and effecting a 'corrective' process. These controversial paras pertained to permission granted to members of the Ahmadiyya Community to preach their beliefs.

Abbas Haidar is a journalist of Pakistan origin.
He started his education in Engineering, and did his BS in Civil Engineering from Sir Syed University of Engineering & Technology, Karachi. He also studied as an exchange student at the Minnesota State University, USA. Then he did his Masters in Engineering Management from the University of Alberta, Canada. Finally he landed at Center of Excellence in Journalism, IBA, Karachi for his Masters in Journalism - where be also won a Gold Medal in the same.
