Diuc Buidhe removed from the fold, it was time to take the ladies back to the field they had been in before.

This track is part of the Fife Coastal Path, which can be a bit awkward at times. Today it was just a couple of people on bicycles and a seasoned walker patient enough to wait until the ladies had moved into the field. It's not worth the effort trying to do any cattle work at the weekends though, as between this path and the numerous footpaths criss-crossing the farm it can be a nightmare.

Not that the coos are aggressive, as you can see they're gentle souls really. But they can get a little spooked by strangers, and it's hard to explain to walkers that they need to get off the path. No, right off the path. Really, a lot further off the path than that. Keep on going. Cheers.

If they stay too close, the coos stop walking and no amount of shaking the biscuit bag will get them past the obstacle.

Regular reminder - these cows know me and I work with them every day. Never approach cattle without the permission of the farmer. Safer to view them from the other side of the gate.
