0:00 - Set up the transmitter
Setup for the PSM 300 Stereo Personal Monitor System is relatively easy.

Plug in your P3T transmitter to a power source. Attach the antenna to the BNC antenna connector on the rear panel.

You can also use the included rack mount hardware to mount the antenna on the front of a rack transmitter.

Using ¼” balanced cables, connect the transmitter to your mixer or audio source. If you’re only connecting a single mono monitor send, use the left (or channel one) input, and set the transmitter to mono.

Set the “Line-Aux” switch to “Line” if you’re connecting to a mixer, and “Aux” if you are connecting to a consumer audio source, such as an MP3 player or computer.

Check the front panel audio meter to ensure adequate signal is being sent to the transmitter. Use the gain knob to adjust as necessary.

You can use the loop outputs on the rear of the transmitter to route audio to other external devices, such as additional personal monitoring systems, recording devices, or stage monitors.

1:00 - Scan for the best channel
To scan for the best channel, make sure that your P3T transmitter is turned off. Turn on any potential sources of interference, such as wireless systems, cell phones, LED panels, or any other electronic devices that will be in use during the performance.

1:16 - Sync Receivers
Install the batteries into your P3R or P3RA receiver and turn it on. The P3RA receiver can use the Shure SB900 Lithium-ion rechargeable battery, as well as standard AA’s.

Stand in the performance area and press the scan button on your receiver. When the scan is complete, turn on your transmitter by pressing and holding the power button. Press the “Sync” button and line up the receiver with the infrared window. The lights and display on the transmitter will flash, and the blue RF indicator will light up on the receiver when the connection is made.

To sync an additional receiver to the same transmitter, simply repeat the IR sync process. If you’re setting up multiple transmitters and receivers, leave all synced systems on while setting up any additional systems.

2:04 - How to set up MixMode
Beside stereo and mono, you can also use PSM 300 in MixMode. This gives you the control to adjust the blend between two monitor mixes using the bodypack receiver.

To set up for MixMode, plug two separate mixes into the right and left channel of the transmitter. If you are using the P3R receiver, press and hold the “Group” button while turning the power on. A light will indicate you are in MixMode. Use the MixMode knob on the side of the receiver to adjust the volume blend between the two mixes. You will hear the blend equally in both ears.

To use MixMode on the P3RA receiver, press “Enter” to access the menu. Select the “Audio” option and then “Mode”. Use the up and down buttons to select “MixMode” and hit “Enter”. You will see the letters “MX” next to the battery display. You can now use the up and down arrows to adjust the blend.
