Frenchman's Forest Natural Area, a rare 172-acre nature preserve surrounded by development in northern Palm Beach County. This prime location includes a variety of ecosystems defined by land and water elevations. Including wet, low areas with cypress and giant leather ferns, a higher, drier pine flatwood and saw palmetto area and even tidally-influenced pond surrounded by mangroves. The variety of habitats located here support a diversity of plants and animals that we will explore and learn about their particular niche or role in this natural diverse natural area.
