In this tutorial series we'll be building a replica of the Calculator app that comes on every iPhone since iOS 1. We'll be building it using modern tools like Swift, Autolayout, and other industry standard practices. At the end you'll have a fully functioning app that you can install on your iPhone and show off to your friends.

We'll be using Xcode 11.4 and Swift 5.2, but almost everything you see will be transferable to future and past versions of Xcode. Because this tutorial is targeted at absolute beginners we'll be covering fundamentals of programming that have been the same for decades. So whether you're developing for iOS 6 on an iPhone 5 or it's 2020 and you're building for iPhone 11 Pro, the principles will remain the same.

Note: Everything you need to complete this tutorial is free. If you want to distribute your finished app on the App Store or if you want to install it on a device that is not the Simulator, it requires a Developer Membership from Apple. With that said, it is absolutely not required and everything in this tutorial will be free for you to build and run.
