It's fairly common to run ice cream makers with a hit + miss engine, but here is a neat variation.

The engine was built by Randle Machinery Co., Cincinatti, Ohio. (Odd spelling of Randle).

This is a bit of a puzzle, can't find Randle Machinery Co., but there was a J. D. Randall Co in Cincinnatti (machine nameplate has 2 "n's" as shown) that was a major manufacturer of leathermaking and harness machinery. Maybe the foundry guys couldn't spell?

Good size cylinder, turning pretty fast, probably substantial horsepower, with a boiler that should have no trouble supplying it.

That lineshaft with 2 clutch pulleys would be pretty handy to have. Note that the V belt drives the ice crusher when connected.

Pretty good ice cream, too!

The boiler also supplied a steam kettle.
