I was honestly surprised at how balanced the reviewer was.
He didn't let nostalgia overwhelm his views while playing and looked at it critcally: an opening section of a beloved game, enhanced and sometimes unnecessarily padded out to make it a full length game.
And the reviewer probabaly knew how controversial the score would be to long time fans, yet stuck to their guns.
For the longest time, IGN reviews had become memes and a joke, but this is nothing short of an unbiased, well-informed take.Thank you OVERLOAD25

I just can’t believe it. I remember reading electronic gaming monthly back in 1999 when I was 8 years old about rumors of a FF7 remake on ps2, I was so excited because I watched my older brother play through the game the summer before. And we kept looking at the corny CGI graphics that the magazine made that tried to imagine what it’d look like. Then seeing the demand for a remake every year after in some way or another from every news outlet. Then seeing the tech demo for the PS3 my freshman year in high school had me all excited again.. then teased again when advent children came out. I bought every spin off thinking it would help fund the remake as a teen lmao. now 15 years later I’ll get to finally, experience the first bit of this game remade to its full potential this week. That’s twenty years of waiting, this game will mean something in one way or another to everyone playing this. To others like me seeing square pull of on what could be LITERALLY the most anticipated game release with expectations through the roof, to others that are new that wanted to check out what the hype has been about all of these years. This really is gaming history right here. The music already gets me thinking about the 90’s lol

After Detroit: Become Human’s chore quests, including such exciting adventures as throwing bottles in the trash and sweeping a floor, no other pointless filler can ruin a game quite the same way.
Kinda glad they were critical on this one with a solid score outcome. This is my favorite game of all time and the rest of the installments are coming with high standards as they drag this out. Im pumped for the 10th!
Is it me or did some of mouths look a little to big when they started talking?
