he silhouette of the Citroën C5 X is as striking as it is robust and aerodynamic. Features of the sedan and station wagon are cleverly and balanced combined with typical SUV attributes - a novelty in the D segment. The long bonnet, the flowing lines and the raised, expressive body shape underline the dynamic appearance and at the same time are reminiscent of earlier Citroën models from the luxury class segment. The tailgate offers the functionality of a station wagon; the wide opening and the low sill make loading and unloading easier. The body and ground clearance, which is slightly higher than that of a sedan, and the wheels, which are up to 720 mm in diameter, allow for a higher seating position for more safety and a better view of the road - a feature that is very much appreciated by SUV customers.

With a length of 4,805 mm, a width of 1,865 mm and a height of 1,485 mm, the Citroën C5 X has generous dimensions. Combined with a wheelbase of 2,785 mm, the result is an outstanding amount of space, especially in the second row.

In the C5 X, Citroën introduces a completely new infotainment interface that is fully geared towards connectivity and is connected to the 12-inch HD touchscreen, four USB Type-C ports and an inductive charging option for the smartphone. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto can be used on the vehicle's touchscreen, for the first time without the smartphone having to be connected by cable. The touchscreen is designed like a tablet - the surface can be adjusted according to personal preferences, settings and widgets are displayed on the home screen and control works via gestures learned from the tablet, such as zooming in or out of the map with two fingers . In addition, the C5 X has easy-to-use voice control.

Every C5 X is already very well equipped. In addition to the Advanced Comfort suspension, the Advanced Comfort seats and the 7-inch digital instrument cluster, the Active Emergency Brake Assist, Attention Assist, cruise control and speed limiter and an Active Lane Keeping Assist are also on board. The 180-degree reversing camera makes parking maneuvers easier and, together with ultrasonic sensors at the front and rear, warns the driver of obstacles. The outside environment is displayed on the 10-inch touchscreen. There is also the Keyless Proximity System, which automatically locks and unlocks the doors when the driver approaches or moves away from the vehicle.

At the "SHINE" level, the standard equipment increases to include Highway Driver Assist for level 2 semi-autonomous driving, Extended Head-Up Display, Extended Blind Spot Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Active Cruise Control with Stop & Go function and heated leather steering wheel.

The highest equipment level "SHINE EDITION" offers further standard features, such as the 360-degree all-round view with four cameras, acoustic glazing all around, motorized tailgate with foot sensor and heated front seats.
