TheBossGolfs: Tralee Golf Links - Day 3 (Part I) Ireland

Tralee Golf Links is one of my favorite courses from this trip. It was the biggest surprise and a great golf course. While researching Tralee, I noted that some people raved about the back nine with fewer great reviews about the front nine. I really enjoyed the seaside front nine that uses the land well, has fantastic views, and plays more fun than overly challenging. The front nine of Tralee is designed away from the massive dunes on the back. The back nine is the big draw to Tralee, and it exceeded my expectations. The dunes are epic in scale and are more akin to those at Carne Golf Links in the west of Ireland. The similarity is the feeling of being transported to a different planet because of the scale and ruggedness of the dunes. The mountainous dunes on the back nine of Tralee frame fairways and greens, forces long carries, and captivates the golfer. Tralee Golf Links is why golfers must find their own path when creating golf trips and not necessarily rely solely on publications and websites.
