revenge of the ugly ducklings - growing up 'ugly'

Bella Hadid, Kylie Jenner, Khloe Kardashian are all examples of BEAUTIFUL women who were generally regarded to be 'ugly ducklings' growing up. Each of these girls were bought up in families where good looks were paramount, and so growing up feeling like the 'ugly' sister as both Bella and Khloe have attested to, can have serious long term impacts on your self confidence, and self worth. This would explain why all three of these women have altered their looks significantly, which tbh is quite sad - as they were all naturally gorgeous to begin with. They didn't need to change anything. However I can see how societies unrealistic beauty standards, and growing up in the environments that they did could impact how they saw themselves. On the positive side, all three of these girls have turned their insecurities around, and make absolute successes out of themselves! In most occasions, even surpassing their 'good looking' siblings. As someone who grew up feeling like the ugly duckling I am so interested in this topic, and I love that these ladies used turned their insecurities into positives and made them work for them instead of against them!
