New. 6-string Indian Rosewood parlor guitar from internationally acclaimed builder Michael Hornick of Shanti Guitars. Depth at lower bout: 4". Width at lower bout is 13". 1 3/4" nut width. 23.9" scale. 2 1/4" pin spacing at bridge. This guitar has many tasteful and subtle appointments.
Very high grade exquisite Red Spruce top showing signature Red Spruce character and grain including medullary rays and a hint of red. Indian Rosewood back and sides. Mahogany neck. Brazilian Rosewood, bridge, peghead overlay, and heelcap. Two soundports installed on upper bouts, with matching rosewood covers. Radiused ebony fingerboard with abalone music notes sprinkled down the fingerboard as position markers with dove in flight at 12th fret. Titanium frets. Gorgeous paua abalone soundhole rosette and top bindings are as beautiful as you will ever see. Multiple wood bindings enclose a stunning line of paua abalone on the top. Wooden marketry backstrip and tail strip carefullly mitered in to bindings. Lighter wood line showing on side, back and top inside ebony. Dove in flight abalone inlaid at top of peghead. Gold Gotoh tuners with ebony buttons. Ebony endpin and strap button with inlay installed by builder. Bone nut, saddle, and bridge pins.
Sound is relatively large and complex for a guitar of this size. This is a beautiful instrument.
