As a law student who is often in contact with society’s most vulnerable members, Areej Alnaw came across an alarming trend. She observed that women in Sudan who reach the menopause tend to give up on life and take a back seat. Determined to change this and make sure women continue to contribute to society regardless of their age or child- bearing status, Areej works on motivating and encouraging woman to consider this time of their life a new beginning and not the beginning of the end.
