You see a star-studded line up like the one for The Things They Carried, and you know there’s instant potential for a hit on our hands. Well, that or it could be Tropic Thunder, but in real life. Let’s hope not.

Odds are Rupert Sanders’s new film from Tom Hardy’s production company that will bring an indie flair to this literature class staple. Yeah, you probably remember this book from your time in high school English, but this won’t be boring. We promise. Putting those words on the screen with darkened imagery will change the name of the game. Plus, your old crone of a teacher isn’t making you do discussions on every short story in the collection, so that’s a plus.

Between Tom Hardy, Pete Davidson, Bill Skarsgard, and Tye Sheridan, there’s a ton of talent to go around. Just watching a film where this cast of characters gets to interact is exciting to think about, right?
