Following on from Kangaroo Island, we have arrived back on the mainland! Exploring the Adelaide Hills and McLaren Vale is the feature of this video, and we had a great time winding our way through these fabulous destinations!

McLaren Vale is a great location, just 45 minutes from Adelaide, and just 10-15 minutes from the Beach. (Port Willunga - a great place!). It is known for its wonderful Shiraz Wines, as well as amazing cellar doors and restaurants. We visited Chalk Hill Wines on our bikes, as well as the quirky, funky D'Arenberg Winery and Cube, which is so much more than a simple cellar door winery. The $15 Million AUD cube is 5 storeys high and houses art exhibits as well as........wine!

Hahndorf was next up, and this traditional German town nestled in the Adelaide Hills had all the fun foods and drinks (German Sausages, Beer, Pretzels etc!) but also is home to some fun activities like the Hahndorf Farm Barn (animals for Kids....... and Adults!) and the Beerenberg Farm where we had a blast picking strawberries.

We looped our way through some of the Adelaide Hills most known towns, such as Birdwood (Australian National Motor Museum), Lobethal, and Gumeracha (The Big Rocking Horse). Also on on drive we found the Whispering Wall at Baroosa Reservoir (OK, technically more Barossa than Adelaide Hills.....) where we could speak to each other from 140metres apart, via the Dam Wall!

Finally deciding we hadn't had enough Fruit Picking, we drove to Harrisville Orchards in Lenswood to pick some ripe juicy apples (and maybe eat a few!)

Next week it is on to the Yorke Peninsula!
