ABOUT THE SPEAKER:
Mrs Saida Muna Tasneem has been the Bangladesh High Commissioner to the UK since November 2018 and is the first ever female in her role, having overcome many barriers to get this far within a male dominated office. Her past roles include being Ambassador to Thailand and serving in the Bangladesh permanent mission to the UN in New York. She has been a strong advocate in many issues including the Rohingya crisis, climate change and female empowerment within the South Asian community.
