. The Side Park residence (residential building) is a multi-residential, mixed-use development in northwest Tehran that balances the tension due to lack of greenery in conjunction with dense urbanism, an emerging residential landscape and neighboring parkland. The project comprises no less than 162 apartments on a site of approximately 5500 sqm bordered by a paired park to the east, providing good amenity and outlook. Consequently, dense and high-rise construction is required. To maintain a human scale in the project in parallel with respect to the green set, we approached it as a case of urban planning and designed the complex as a homogeneous mix with the pair. Thanks to the broad passageway along the site, leading from the park to the garden court, the complex is closely connected to the surrounding neighborhood, offering commercial spaces and numerous amenities for both residents and the city so that a sense of community can unfold. Side Park is defined by a 7-level U-shaped plinth combined with rotated three levels on top, organized around a central garden court covering the amongst level, providing visual continuity as well as the ultimate city frame.
