Their Love for Cats Made This Couple Start a Small Business | Common Room PH

Kate and Juan Bellecer’s love for cats made the couple start the Offbeat Cat. Creating cute, happy illustrated cats on stickers, postcards, and washi tapes, is very personal for Kate, who’s the artist for the Offbeat Cat. While she has a fulltime job, she and her husband help and care for many of the cats in their community and supports cat welfare programs. It’s no surprise that a portion of their sales is allocated for this advocacy that shines through her art.

Common Room PH is a collaborative space for artists and makers in the Philippines. Our physical stores provide a venue for local creatives to showcase their handcrafted products and original artworks. Our web store and digital platform on YouTube enable our community to reach more, not only through their products, but also through their stories. Our hope is that whether online or offline, these venues provide a home and a safe space for creatives to express themselves, support each other, grow together, and empower others to make with their hands.
