How to Fix a Loose Shelf Pin

Описание к видео How to Fix a Loose Shelf Pin

Fixing a loose shelf pin is pretty straightforward. The process is very easy and should work for 3mm, 5mm, ¼ in, and 7mm holes. This will also work best for metal shelf pins. If you’re using plastic, I’d recommend upgrading. Also, if the shelf pin hole is severely damaged, this most likely won’t work.

Materials Needed
A toothpick
Something to cut a toothpick (scissors can work)

Step 1: Cut the tip off of the toothpick.

Step 2: Cut about ¼” more off of the toothpick.

Step 3: Place the ~¼” piece of toothpick inside of the shelf pin hole making sure to leave a little bit sticking out.

Step 4: Insert the shelf pin back into the hole making sure that the toothpick is wedged between the bottom of the shelf pin and the bottom of the hole. You may have to put a bit of pressure and/or twist to get the pin back into the hole.

And that’s about it!
