Is This the Most Beautiful Fish Species in North America? | Rainbow Shiner | Alabama Microfishing

My first time ever fishing in Alabama the goal was simple, catch the most beautiful fish species in North America, the rainbow shiner (Hydrophlox chrosomus). I wasn't sure how it would go, but once I found the creek I quickly spotted a school of these fish and not too long after that I had one in my phototank. While the ones I caught didn't have the colors on them that some other individuals of the species have, they were still amazing.
