ICE whistleblower Ryan Schwank has accused U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement of cutting back its officer training program, warning the changes could put lives at risk and undermine constitutional protections.

Schwank joined ICE in 2021 as Assistant Chief Counsel later taking on the role of instructor at the ICE academy. He resigned from his post on February 13 to speak out about serious violations he claims to have witnessed while working inside the agency. His bombshell claims come amid growing scrutiny over ICE operations nationwide.

During his testimony at the Forum on Constitutional Violations hosted by Senator Richard Blumenthal and Representative Robert Garica, instructor Ryan Schwank said the agency had removed 240 hours from a 584-hour academy course over the past five months.
