Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at this hitch reducer for your trailer hitch receiver. Now this simple design is going to let you transform your two inch receiver into a 1-1/4 inch hitch. And this is going to let you use all of your 1-1/4 inch hitch accessories such as bike racks, cargo carriers, or ball mounts. With your two inch trailer hitch receiver, you're just going to insert this into your two inch trailer hitch receiver, pin it, clip it, and then you'll be ready to go.

Now this does have a maximum towing capacity of 3000 pounds, a maximum tongue weight of 300 pounds. Now this sleeve will not reduce the tongue weight capacity, but you just wanna remember that you are limited to the lowest rated towing component, whether that's your hitch, your ball mount, your hitch ball, whatever. You just need to be mindful of that. This is steel with a powder coated black finish and this does come with the 1/2 inch pin and clip to hold your 1-1/4 inch accessories in place. The 5/8 of an inch hitch pin and clip for the two inch receiver sold separately.

Lemme go ahead and give you a brief demonstration here. So I've got an example of a two inch receiver here and so this end will simply slide in and then you'll need that 5/8 of an inch hitch pin and clip. And I've got one here. (pin clanking) So you'll just use that to secure this into place and then you'll be able to attach your 1-1/4 inch accessories with this included 1/2 inch pin and clip. So again, just a reminder, this will not include the 5/8 inch hitch pin and clip to secure the adapter into your two inch trailer hitch receiver.

So before we wrap up our time together, let me go ahead and give you some overall measurements. Let me go ahead and remove this pin and clip here real quick. So the overall length, we're sitting pretty close to seven inches, and then the distance between our hitch pin holes here on center is three inches. Measuring from the center of this hitch pin hole to the end, we're about pretty close to about 2.5 inches. And then from this hitch pin hole to the end, right at about 1-1/2 inches.
