In this clip from the "Getting Started with Model Based Definition" webinar, Tech Guy Reese Shearer covers enhancements to the Product Manufacturing Information (PMI) interface that support MBD strategies. He looks at enhancements to dimensioning including:
New "through hole text" preferences for Hole Callouts
Display Zero at Baseline preference for dual dimensioning display
Support for associative angular directed dimensions
Then he covers the ability to toggle dimensions in part families including:
A new command to control suppression of PMI objects
Suppress manually, by a shared expression, by individual expressions of by a selected expression
New optional Part Families workflow preferences
Automatically remove retained PMI during part family generation.
Automatically remove empty user defined model views during part family inspection
Finally he looks at enhancements to parallel to screen display including:
Support fo the display of annotations a single annotation plane that doesn't rotate with the model.
Optional Lock Size and Position
Maintain the size and position of the PMI during pan and zoom operations
Single leader support
Standards-compliant display for general notes and special notations placed on a model
He then does live demos of these features.
