‘Irish Water’ stealing, from you and me.

Oh dear what can the matter be,
‘Irish Water’ stealing, from you and me.
Putting in meters from Monday to Saturday.
While O’Brien takes it all from our pay.
They’re robbing us more every day.
They stole from our pensions and from our car tax.
And now they’ve come back for the shirts on our backs.
TDs paid for with pensions, safe from attacks
And our Governments have sold us I fear.
Fianna Fail left our fair country broke,
Six weeks money left, the IMF had a stroke.
They bought us and sold us and left us all dry.
While they gave the bondholders our Land, seas and sky.
Oh dear what can the matter be,
‘Irish Water’ stealing, from you and me.
Putting in meters from Monday to Saturday.
While O’Brien takes it all from our pay.
They’re robbing us more every day.
Our country was wrecked, they left us all poor.
Many lost jobs and a hell of a lot more.
200,000 people left our fair Irish shore.
And our Governments just didn’t care.
Many will not be seen anymore,
While the bond holders and bankers are paid for sure.
Our governments sell us all to pay off their bet.
While the rich will get richer, we’ll pay off their debt.
Oh dear what can the matter be,
‘Irish Water’ stealing, from you and me.
Putting in meters from Monday to Saturday.
While O’Brien takes it all from our pay.
They’re robbing us more every day.
Fianna Fail was out, Fine Gael and Labour were in,
They gave us false promises, again and again.
Cut Social Welfare, they called out the Gards,
While they drank in the Dail and issued identity cards
They’ve sold off our daughters, And sold off our sons.
Lied to us all, we’ve all paid, do the sums.
Fine Gael’s Robber Barons now sit in the Dail.
Bowing to EU Masters, just like Fianna Fail.
Oh dear what can the matter be,
‘Irish Water’ stealing, from you and me.
Putting in meters from Monday to Saturday.
While O’Brien takes it all from our pay.
They’re robbing us more every day.
When you rob from the poor and you give to the rich.
When you see us all protesting why do you bitch
When you steal and you plunder and tell us all lies.
Do you sleep well at night while a hungry child cries.
A pox on your houses and may they all fall,
May you end up in prison for selling us all.
May you then suffer in jobs bridge, jobs plus one and all.
May the Irish rise up, to the protesters’ call.
Oh dear what can the matter be,
‘Irish Water’ stealing, from you and me.
Putting in meters from Monday to Saturday.
While O’Brien takes it all from our pay.
They’re robbing us more every day.
Now when your Parties are gone, and we’ve cancelled your debt,
We’ll all be back working in the best country yet.
We’ll have our sweet water and fix all the leaks.
And we will all listen when a protestor speaks.
When you have all sold your souls and you journey to Hell.
You can join Irish Water in digging a well.
But first I must warn you, it will all be in vain.
As you work for O Brien and Enda again.
Oh dear what can the matter be,
‘Irish Water’ stealing, from you and me.
Putting in meters from Monday to Saturday.
While O’Brien takes it all from our pay.
They’re robbing us more every day.
