It's been so long, but I managed to create the first-ever score from the sequel to the beloved 30--year-old classic film, A Goofy Movie.
I do not know why nobody remembers this sequel? I like it for its emotional conflict and its themes of letting go and independence. I even like this score for its mixture of R&B, Jazz, Rock, and melancholic Ambient Synth that reminds me of the 2000s Japanese PC visual novels, and the Nintendo music. It is so thought- provoking, it makes me want to go back to the younger days. Many people say this film is similar to Back To School (1986), but to me the film is still good, because if you look it in another perspective, this film should have relevance as this film emotionally concludes Goofy and Max's enduring relationship from the first movie. And it may not have musical numbers than its predecessor, but it's okay because the topic of extreme sports which was popular in the 90s still matches with the story. And it includes popular versions of released music which makes the film entertaining and enjoyable. (I miss Roxanne...)
For this score, I skipped most of the tracks included in the rare Dance Party! soundtrack. And because of copyright infringement, I was forced to divide this score into two parts.
And for this sequel, not being forgotten, this is a commemoration to the 30th Anniversary of the cult classic, A Goofy Movie.
