Описание к видео Riohacha in La Guajira, Colombia - sources of livelihood of the Wayuu Community

Visiting the city centre of the case study area of the project: 'Climate change adaptation (CCA), water resource management and disaster risk reduction (DRR)' implemented by CARITAS Suiza in La Guajira, Colombia. In this video, we can appreciate the Wayuu handbags, one of the sources of livelihood of the ethnic community in this area of the country. This source of livelihood becomes essential during the drought season. Usually is a women's task, but between 2012 and 2016, even men joined their manufacturing given the lack of possibility to crop or raise the cattle given the lack of water.
