The Handwired D-Boost

The VHT D-Boost FET clean-boost pedal is handwired on a vintage-style eyelet board, and faithfully replicates the FET input circuitry found in the most coveted D-style amplifiers.

While the original FET circuitry was built into the amps, with no external means for level adjustment, the VHT D-Boost pedal expands the design’s versatility with footswitchable convenience and an external level control.

It’s a true clean boost pedal, with enough boost to significantly overdrive your amp. It also does a great job of enhancing detail, clarity and harmonic complexity at more moderate level settings.

Likewise, the D-Boost can enhance clarity and detail for acoustic instruments with lower signal strength. It sounds great with acoustic guitars, especially those with magnet pickups and other passive pickup types.

The D-Boost’s footswitch has a large aluminum “topper,” and it’s surrounded by a status-indicating blue LED ring. The D-Boost can be powered by an internal 9-volt battery or external 9-volt power supply.
