First public comments attributed to Assad claim he never planned to leave Syria
দেশ ছাড়তে চাননি সিরিয়ার ক্ষমতাচ্যুত প্রেসিডেন্ট বাশার আল-আসাদ। এমন কোনো পরিকল্পনাই ছিল না তাঁর। ৮ ডিসেম্বর সকাল পর্যন্তই তিনি সিরিয়ায় অবস্থান করছিলেন। টেলিগ্রাম চ্যানেলে এক বিবৃতিতে এসব দাবি করেছেন বাশার আল-আসাদ। ক্ষমতা ছেড়ে রাশিয়া পালিয়ে যাওয়ার পর এটিই বাশারের প্রথম কোনো বিবৃতি। আল-জাজিরা, বিবিসিসহ বেশ কয়েকটি আন্তর্জাতিক গণমাধ্যম এই খবর প্রকাশ করেছে।
