In this example, we solve logarithmic equations by rewriting them as a single log on each side with the same base. Sometimes we need to use the properties of logarithms to combine our logs together. After we have a single log on each side of our equation, we are allowed to drop our logs and set what is inside equal to each other because of the one-to-one property of logarithmic functions. We then solve the resulting equation to get our solution.
