Fence to Nowhere, Northumberland + Dead Minke Whale REALLY SAD!

I created fine art images of a fence. Unfortunately, the day ended up very sad!

A couple of weeks ago I ventured up to a location I attempted to photograph unsuccessfully 2 years ago. This time I was a little happier with the results. I know the pictures could have been better though but this time I wasn't to blame. Furthermore, it had nothing to do with the lighting or weather conditions!

The fence to nowhere as it's locally known is no longer a complete fence. For some unknown reason, the fence has been stripped right back to just posts. I'm not sure why it was stripped back, I can only assume it is something to do with health and safety! If you know the reasons why then please leave a comment.

The day went really well until we discovered a huge whale which was washed up on the beach a short distance away from where we were shooting the fence. I later discovered it was an 8.1mtr Minke Whale. According to the news report, the whale showed no signs of distress.

It was so sad to see such a huge animal in that state. That's nature for you though! At least I hope it died of natural causes.
