浙江大学（Zhejiang University, ZJU），位于浙江省杭州市，是浙江唯一一所“211”、“985”高校，也是全国九校联盟（C9）的成员。浙大前身可追溯至1897年的求是书院。抗战爆发后西迁贵州，被当时访问该校的英国学者李约瑟赞誉为“东方剑桥”。中华人民共和国成立后，经历院系调整，文理学院被剥离，农学院、医学院各自独立建校，之江大学工学院系被并入，成为多科性工业大学。1998年，由浙江大学、浙江医科大学、浙江农业大学、杭州大学重新合并为一所综合性大学。
紫金港校区是浙大合并后的新校区，也是浙大主校区，位于杭州市三墩镇附近，2002年10月启用，是浙江大学最大校区，著名地标有图书信息大楼、风雨操场、月牙楼、临水报告厅、安中大楼、求是大讲堂等。校区里有大片绿地花园，河流纵横，俨然一个小镇。经过20多年，至今紫金港校区仍在建设，现在是中国最大的单一校区。
紫金港校区之前与其他校区一样，对公众开放。由于校区内风景优美，被人们称为“三墩人民公园”。疫情期间，校区一度严控人员出入。疫情过后，浙江大学紫金港校区终于又对外开放，公众可以通过预约或校友码进入。

Zhejiang University (ZJU), located in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, is one of the leading universities in China. The predecessor of Zhejiang University can be traced back to Qiushi Academy in 1897. After the outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War, it moved westward to Guizhou, and was praised as "Eastern Cambridge" by the British scholar Joseph Needham who visited the school at that time. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, after the adjustment of departments, the College of Arts and Sciences was spun off, the College of Agriculture and the College of Medicine were established independently, and the Department of Engineering of Zhijiang University was merged into a multi-disciplinary industrial university. In 1998, Zhejiang University, Zhejiang Medical University, Zhejiang Agricultural University, and Hangzhou University were re-merged into a comprehensive university.

Zijingang Campus is the new campus after the merger of Zhejiang University and the main campus of Zhejiang University. It is located near Sandun Town, Hangzhou City. It was opened in October 2002. It is the largest campus of Zhejiang University， boasting numerous landmark buildings such as Water Lecture Hall, Anzhong Building, and Qiushi Lecture Hall, etc. Large green gardens and and small rivers in the campus which make this place a small town. After more than 20 years, the Zijingang campus is still under construction and is now the largest single campus in China.

Like other campuses, the Zijingang campus was previously open to the public. Because of the beautiful scenery in the campus and its popularity among people living nearby, it is nicknamed "Sandun People's Park". During the epidemic, the campus once strictly controlled the entry and exit of personnel. After the epidemic, the Zijingang Campus of Zhejiang University finally opened to the public, and the public can enter by appointment or alumni code.
