Cloudhouse was conceived as an ambient groove band a bit before that became a genre. The first version had a very powerful rhythm section and had one very loud (but cool) gig, and then the (husband and wife) rhythm section moved out of town. This is the second version of cloudhouse, with a different rhythm section and horns added. This lineup included Rob Angus (guitar, sampler), Jeff Greinke (guitar, synth, trombone), Rich Mack (guitar), Dale Sather (bass), Tom Gorton (drums), Lesli Dalaba (trumpet), and Scott Raffel (sax and bass clarinet). Rich Mack had programmed some fractals (with color cycling) on his computer and we made a video of them which was projected behind the band, while David Deal ran the projector and did some live video feedback with his camera.
