After opening my door panel, to my surprise, the speaker I purchased (6 3/4 inch) did not directly fit my car. This Mazda 6 has 9" speakers on the front doors. It would have been great to know before buying. I did not want to put everything back before checking out the original Bose speaker and noticed its not too hard to fix. Simply put some silicone between the metal base contact with the speaker cone and firmly press down until it sticks. Hope this info helps y'all out.
